It is always encouraging for me to see young people surrendering their lives to God. Not so long ago I attended this simple but meaningful camp that our church created. It was “BAHAY NI TATAY CAMP”, and I won’t forget those moments where I was learning and committing. Learning new things about God and committing new self to Him. I won’t forget the time where I decided that in the near future I also want to minister to young people. The inspiration comes from what God allowed me to experience. Some of the youth leaders that time would always share their testimony about how youth camps helped them to grow. Thus , I had the desire also to grow as a Christian youth.
HERE IS THE LIST OF PREVIOUS SUCCESSFUL BAHAY NI TATAY YOUTH CAMPS
2014 – DIVERGENT
2013 – BAGUIO
2012 – BOURNE LEGACY
2011 – CALL OF DUTY
2010 – FAITHBOOK
2009 – SURVIVOR
2008 – FEAR FACTOR
2007 – BAHAY NI TATAY
This list for me simply tells that the ministry should keep going no matter what happens. With many young people’s lives being changed and restored, neither reasons nor excuses should be accepted.
And I decided to list down my top 3 mosts.
Divergent Camp was the most challenging for me because at this camp program is created during the camp itself. Those were the times where we were cramming but enjoying at the same time.
My most unforgettable is Baguio camp. This one is mostly relaxing. Although there were activities about leadership but it’s not that intense. I learned and enjoyed.
Survivor was really, really fun for me but at the same time this was the most restoring camp because I got reminded of my commitments to God. I still remember the “Trust Walk” thing where at the end I was told of my shortcomings. That time I really cried hard and thanked God for what He has done to me.
Last year’s camp was in Infanta and I guess I can say that this camp beat my top 3 mosts. I can say that COC camp was challenging, unforgettable, and restoring at the same time.
All glory to God for helping and providing us everything that we need from the start up to finish line of this year’s camp.
