I say opportunity only knocks at once, when it’s there you should grab it so it won’t be wasted. Each moment is a chance to take. Each moment is a choice to make.We all must choose. Every human being has to and we have the same choices. Whether to go or not to go, to say yes or to say no.

After our pastor told us weeks ago that there will be a medical mission in one of the churches that we consider a family it just gets us so excited. But looking back as a kid I dread of going to a hospital because of an odd thing that I feel when I’m inside. It feels like I am going to be sick also. But since the reason of joining the team is that we will be the counselors, I think it is very important and as far as I remember this will be my first time volunteering in a medical mission.

This one is indeed another opportunity to be used by Him. This one is another chance to share His message. And, this one is another moment in which I can be part of something that has an eternal value. And I’ve chosen to grab it.

It wasn’t easy because the weather was not really good, but nobody can stop us in accomplishing the ministry that God has entrusted to us. I was very encouraged to see my brothers and sisters in faith passionately doing their own assigned task. As part of the counseling department, it was also admonishing seeing people accept Jesus. The first one that I’ve counseled was a sixty-year old man. He is a retired soldier and a devoted Catholic. I was privileged to share Him the gospel and I was so happy when he let the Savior enter his life that day.

We started at 8:00 o’clock in the morning and finished around 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon. By God’s grace we were able to help 162 people during the medical mission. Almost sixty percent of them got saved.

I just got reminded of a verse from Romans 10:15b, As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”.

From the officials,Medical Team, FJC, Lightcast, Calvary Church, Pag-ibig Church, Vines Church in Mabuhay. The Vines Church in New Jersey who supported this  ministry.  I’m sure you guys have pretty ones.

  1. Amazing! Even if I am not yet starting my reaction paper, I am proud to say that I am a Christian and I want to be full of the Holy Spirit to share the Good News to all the people I am going to meet. Thank you Jesus and thank you Sir Sherwin Pido.
